Description
The blue spruce represents an evergreen coniferous tree, 25 — 30 m high, is rare to 46 meters. Diameter of a trunk — to 1,5 meters. Bark thin, scaly. Cones are poorly cylindrical, 6 — 11 cm long and width in the closed condition of 2 cm, in the opened state to 4 cm. Color of cones from reddish to violet, the mature cone light brown. Seeds are black, 3 — 4 mm long with with a light brown wing 10 — 13 mm long
