Pitch ion-exchange KU-2-8 is a monofunctional silnokislotny kationit of polymerization type. Differs in good osmotic stability, high chemical resistance to influence of alkalis, acids, oxidizers; it is insoluble in water and organic solvents. Kationit KU-2-8 - not fusible, nonflammable, inexplosive, nonpoisonous, does not contain radioactive and ozonosoderzhashchy materials. Is issued in the form of grains from light yellow till dark brown color. Pitch ion-exchange KU-2-8 is applied to water treatment, sewage treatment, hydrometallurgy, in galvanotechnics
