Self-adhesive QuickSeam Flashing apron
1. Description
The self-adhesive QuickSeam Flashing apron represents the strip of not vulcanized EPDM 127 mm wide connected to the vulcanized self-adhesive tape. This strip is intended for performance of a waterproofing of metal eaves profiles and other roofing elements according to technical requirements of the Firestone company to EPDM systems.
2. Preparation
The waterproofed surface of EPDM of a membrane of RubberGard and metal profiles has to be processed by QuickPrime Plus primer by means of the QuickScrubber or QuickScrubber Plus grater. Use for these purposes of any other materials is not allowed. In case of long storage of this material at temperatures below 15 °C it is necessary to give it the chance to get warm to room temperature just before use.
3. Laying
Stack a strip only in one or two directions (exactly or no more, than with one corner). Do not use this material for performance of 3 measured elements (for example, corners) or those elements which require its tension.
4. Consumption rate
Depending on length of a concrete edging element. The connected strips have to be pasted with an overlap not less than 25 mm and be stuck from above with a patch.
5. Packing / Storage / Expiration date
Packing: Rolls on 30,5 m (100'), on 2 rolls in cardboard packing. Note: In each cardboard box there are graters with QuickScrubber and/or QuickScrubber Plus handles. Their quantity depends on the concrete material QuickSeam. Storage: To store in the sealed factory container at a temperature from 15 °C to 25 °C. Not to allow hit of a direct sunlight until readiness for use. Expiration date: From 6 to 9 months on condition of storage according to the above instructions. Before use to check date of production on each roll. At influence of the increased temperatures the expiration date is reduced.
